FME Training Course - 3 days

Objective:

At the end of this course, the student will be able to use FME to manage one-off and automated data translations and transformations.

Day 1 - Introduction to the FME Suite

1. Course Introduction
2. Introduction to FME Translation
3. Schema Mapping in FME
4. Using FME Universal Viewer
5. Using FME Workbench
6. Using FME Universal Translator
7. Other FME Suite Components

Day 2 - FME Workbench Interface

1. What is a workspace?
2. Workbench sections (Menus, Toolbar, Navigation Window, Workspace)
3. A look at Workbench’s built-in shortcuts
4. Debugging Tools

Day 3 - Customer Workshop

The third day of training covers more advanced FME data translations that are specific to the course attendees.

Students are free to bring along their own data and tasks – or submit them in advance to the instructor. The instructor will go through the steps required for various translations requested by the students.
