Document Management

IMGS in partnership with tsaAdvet provide a document management solution - CAB-i-NET Explorer which makes it very easy to manage the workflow, naming, filing and publishing of engineering and administration documentation. By maintaining your documents in CAB-i-NET Explorer you can reduce by up to 50% the cost, time and heartache expended in maintaining a document archive.

With CAB-i-NET Explorer you can manage the complete lifecycle of your key administrative documents as well as critical engineering drawings.  Our CAB-i-NET Explorer solution provides you with the ability to:

• Find crucial documents very easily through its Windows XP styled interface.

• Know you have the correct version of a document.

• Enforce document naming standards.

• Control creation, revision, approvals and publication of all critical documents.

• Control access to sensitive documents.

CAB-i-NET Explorer is advanced Document Management Software that provides you with the ability to create, edit, revise and publish documents in a controlled environment and also manages administrative documents and engineering drawings in one solution!

CAB-i-NET Explorer provides integration with not only to Microsoft Office documents but also engineering documents created in MicroStation or AutoCAD. CAB-i-NET Explorer enables you to create links from your document meta data into your document done using Intelligent Data Links (IDL).

With IDL you can:

• Automatically pre-populate your MS-Word, AutoCAD or MicroStation files with key information (e.g. author name, version number or address information)

• Automatically populate the Title Block of a CAD drawing and reduce the time needed to create and amend drawings.

• Eliminate the risk of incorrectly labeling CAD drawings

By being able to ensure documents are named correctly and key information in the document is recorded correctly you can then enforce security, quality standards and data quality rules for all of your documents by: 

• Ensuring staff use only the correct and approved document templates, and automatically save the documents with the correct file name.

• Removing the need for mapped drives or UNC paths.

• Provide access to documents only for users with the correct rights and privileges.
