Training Content for IMGS 2016

At this year’s conference we will be giving FME training that will cover what’s new in 2016, data validation and much more. The training will be delivered by our certified FME Professional and FME Trainer, Ciara Beddy along with assistance from one of our FME Experts, Lauren Lucas.

Here is a breakdown of what you can expect on the day.

Introduction to FME 2016.1

Safe Software released FME 2016.0 in January and have just released 2016.1.- we will be showing some of the main features in the latest releases of FME including new transformers and formats available.

5 Point Validation

A large section of the training will be dedicated to walking you through a validation workspace that contains what we believe are the five key validations that you should perform on your data. This workspace will also include using some of the latest transformers and writers available in FME.

Resource Session

This section of the training will cover how to make the most of the FME resources that are available to you and show you how you can use workspaces provided by Safe to show your own data in new and exciting ways.

Data Delivery for Desktop & Server

We will close out the training with a session on the best ways that you can delivery your data both internally and externally using either FME Desktop or FME Server.

We will have some laptops available but if you would like to bring your own laptop with an installation of FME we can provide you with a temporary license for the day. We would recommend that you install the latest version of FME to get the most out of the training but we will also make the workspace available in for FME 2015.1.
