Dublin, Ireland. Tuesday 15th of September 2015. IMGS (Irish Mapping and GIS Solutions) will host their Geospatial User Groups in Dublin and Belfast later this month. These user groups will take place in the Ashling Hotel, Dublin on the 22nd of September and in The Mount Conference Centre, Belfast on the 24th of September. The geospatial sector in Ireland has seen an extensive growth over the past couple of years and this event is the perfect setting for people in the geospatial industry to come together with their peers to see the latest technologies.
At these user groups, IMGS, in conjunction with Hexagon Geospatial, will officially preview Hexagon Smart M.App in Ireland. Hexagon Smart M.Apps are targeted, lightweight map applications that solve real business problems. They deliver a fresh and powerful way to gain insight into the shifts and transformations of our earth, cities, business, and our lives. Each Hexagon Smart M.App combines multi-source content, sophisticated analytics, and tailored workflows, fused together into a dynamic user experience.
“This is a very exciting time for us, the Hexagon Smart M.App is going to be a real game changer for the industry in Ireland” says IMGS General Manager Ciaran Kirk. “For the first time, maps that are dynamic and yet lightweight will be available for GIS and non-GIS users alike. I think the attendees of the IMGS Geospatial User Group will find the preview very exciting and interesting.”
At the event, there will also be presentations, demonstrations and discussions around the latest updates from Hexagon Geospatial. In addition, Leica Geosystems will be there, discussing their latest release, the Leica Zeno 20, which solves the number one problem encountered by field personnel when working in challenging GNSS environments: to be able to collect reliable and accurate positioning data, at any time, from anywhere.
The IMGS Geospatial User Groups are free to attend and are open to anyone in the geospatial industry who would like to discuss the geospatial industry in Ireland and learn more about IMGS and the solutions they provide. You can register directly for these user groups here.
